DOMINION CELEBRATES 30 YEARS OF GOTH ROCK WITH ANNIVERSARY ALBUM "PARALYZIA"
Los Angeles, CA – February 21, 2025 – Goth rock veterans Dominion, originally formed in Manila in 1994, are celebrating three decades of music with the release of their anniversary album, “Paralyzia” . Known for their dark, atmospheric sound and distinctive rock style, Dominion has been a recognized name in the goth community, particularly in the Philippines, where they played a pivotal role in shaping the underground music scene.
Paralyzia showcases Dominion’s evolution over the years with a mix of reimagined classics, rare demos, and new material:
– A reimagined version of their 90’s cult favorite “Within These Walls”
– “Angeliz,” a new ballad dedicated to frontman Doi Porras’ wife
– Remastered fan favorites such as “Father Chains” and “A Letter”
– Rare 90s demo mixes including “End of All This (Howl Mix)” and “Sadness Remains”
– “Kulimlim,” a demo that subtly incorporates Filipino cultural influences into their signature gothic sound
Frontman Doi Porras describes the album as “a reflection of our journey over the past three decades. It’s a way to honor our history while continuing to move forward creatively. We’re grateful for everyone who has supported us and connected with our music over the years, this one is for you.”
Dominion’s early work was instrumental in building a goth community in the Philippines during the 1990s. Their performances and recordings helped establish an audience for darker, more atmospheric music while inspiring other artists to explore similar sounds.
Now based in Los Angeles, Dominion continues to create music that resonates with fans of dark underground rock. In addition to Paralyzia, they are featured on the compilation Dismal Music for a Dismal World, alongside Iconic acts like Christian Death, Screams for Tina, and Midnight Configuration.
